Its binomial name is "Chiasmodon niger", and it belongs to "Chiasmodontidae" and it is a species of deep sea fish. Black Swallower is considered the most common ocean fish and it is mostly found in the North Atlantic. It is a small-sized fish and its maximum length is 25 cm, its body is elongated and without scales. The Black Swallower has the ability to swallow or engulf the things larger than itself.
3-Fangtooth Fish
The Fangtooth fish comes on the number three in the list of the scariest and most creepy deep sea creatures. This monster is considered one of the deepest living fish, that is seen more than 5,000 meters below the sea level. The binomial name of Fangtooth fish is "Anoplogaster" and it is mostly found in the tropical and cold waters, it is actually very small-sized fish, although it has a terrifying appearance due to its fang-like teeth but it is harmless.
4-Goblin Shark
The Goblin shark is also included in the list of the scariest and creepy creatures living in the deep sea. Its binomial name is "Mitsukurina owstoni" and sometimes it is also known as a "living fossil" and it is one and only representative species of the family "Mitsukurinidae". The Goblin Shark is basically a pink-skinned animal and the most distinctive feature of this fish is it's flattened and elongated snout that contains very prominent nail-like teeth.
5-Pacific Viperfish
The fifth most scary and creepy creature living in the deep sea is the Pacific viperfish. Its binomial name is "Chauliodus macouni" and it is basically a predatory fish. In daytime, the Pacific viperfish can be found more than 5,000 meters below than the sea level, but at night, it swims up into the shallower depths of almost 200 m where it finds plenty of food. The distinctive features of this fish are its long dorsal fin ray, long fang-like teeth, and its large mouth.
6-Deep Sea Blob Sculpin
The Deep Sea Blob Sculpin is considered the sixth most scary and creepy creature living in the deep sea. The binomial name of this strange creature is "Psychrolutes phrictus" and it belongs to the "Psychrolutidae", it is basically a species of deep-sea fish. The Blob Sculpin is mostly found in the North Pacific Ocean in the depth of more than 2800 meters, it has a very distinctive and strange appearance.
7-Blue-Ringed Octopuses
The Blue-ringed octopuses are also included in the list of the top ten famous species of the octopuses in the world. Its binomial name is "Hapalochlaena" but it is commonly known by its most famous nickname that is the "Blue-ringed octopus". Hapalochlaena also belongs to the class of "Cephalopoda" and mostly lives in the coral reefs and tide pools in the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. Blue-ringed octopuses are regarded as the one of the most venomous marine animals of the world.

The Japanese spider crab is regarded as the eighth most scary and creepy creature living in the deep sea, it is also known as the Giant spider crab. Its binomial name is "Macrocheira kaempferi", it is basically a species of marine crab that is usually found in the waters around Japan. The Giant spider crab is regarded as the largest crab that lives up to 1,000 feet below the sea level, reaching 12 feet from claw to claw.
9-Terrible-claw Lobster
The Terrible-claw Lobster comes on the number nine in the list of the extremely creepy creatures that live in the deep sea. Its binomial name is "Dinochelus ausubeli", it is basically a small-sized lobster that was discovered in the Philippines in 2007 at the depth of more than 820 feet The color of this terrible-claw Lobster is white and reddish pink, it has two different sized claws and many long teeth on its inner surface.
10-Giant Isopod
The tenth most scary and creepy creature living in the deep sea is the Giant isopod. Its binomial the name is "Bathynomus", they are mostly found in the cold waters of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The Giant Isopod is basically included in the list of the largest isopods, its physical appearance resembles the "Woodlouse" to a great extent, their maximum length is almost 30 cm long.
