The Congo is regarded as the second largest country in Africa by area and the eleventh largest country in the world. The Democratic Republic of the Congo has a great number of natural sources, but due to corruption, political instability, limited development, lack of infrastructure, there seems no development that's why its GDP is just $729.
3-Burundi
The Burundi comes on the number three in the list of the poorest countries in the world. This the country is located in the African Great Lakes and it is suffering from corruption, political instability, limited development, lack of infrastructure, warfare and economic crisis, all these are big hindrances in the development and the growth of the country that's why its GDP is just $770. The Burundi is regarded as the hungriest country in the world.
4-Liberia
The Liberia is also included in the list of the poorest countries in the world. Liberia is one of the few African countries that have not been colonized by white people but colonized by the freed black slaves from America. Liberia was a developed country to some extent before two worst wars which almost caused a complete destruction of the economy of country and around 0.5 million people were killed in these wars. Now with net GDP of $886, more than 85% population leading their lives in extreme poverty.
5-The Republic of Niger
The fifth poorest country in the world is the Republic of Niger, which is a landlocked country located in the Western Africa. The population of Niger is more than seventeen million and the majority of them are Muslims, it is regarded as the largest nation of Africa, its eighty percent area is comprised of the Sahara Desert. With net GDP of just $1,052, the Republic of Niger is included in the low ranked African countries, where desertification is very common.
6- The Republic of Malawi
The Republic of Malawi is considered the sixth poorest country in the world, which is a landlocked country located in the Southeast Africa, it was previously known as "Nyasaland". The population of the Malawi is near about the sixteen million and it is enlisted in the poorest countries of the world because of its living standards and low GDP per capita, which is just $1,112. Although, recently some developments have been seen but these are not enough to decrease the poverty.
7-The Republic of Mozambique
The Republic of Mozambique is regarded as the seventh poorest country in the world, which is a country located in the Southeast Africa. With the net GDP of just $1,178 per capita, this country is also one of the most underdeveloped and poorest countries of the world, although, recently some developments have been seen but these are not enough to decrease the poverty. Almost 80 percent population of the Republic of Mozambique engages in the small-scale farming.

The State of Eritrea comes on the number eight in the list of the poorest countries in the world, which is a country located in the East Africa. This state is badly affected by the Italian colonizers in the 19th century, but in 1941, Eritrea was conquered by British colonizers. With the net GDP of just $1,200 per capita, it is also regarded as a poor country in the world, but now the Eritrea's economy has experienced a little bit growth, which is due to the operations in the silver and gold mines.

With the net GDP of just $1,257 per capita, it is also enlisted in the poorest countries of the world. Several epidemics and economy crisis are the major issues of the Republic of Guinea.
10-The Republic of Madagascar
The last most poor country in the world is the Republic of Madagascar, which is formerly known as "Malagasy Republic", it is an island country off the coast of the Southeast Africa. The estimated population of this country is more than twenty-two million, more than ninety percent of population is living on less than $2 by day. The GDP of the Republic of Madagascar is just $1,445, this highly populated country has a great number of economic issues.
